Crashdiet is a Swedish sleaze rock band formed in Stockholm in 2000. They gained cult popularity and buzz upon releasing their first demo. Tobias Forge, who is now in the globally renowned band Ghost and also from Sweden, was a member during this period. After member changes, the lineup solidified with Dave Lepard on vocals, Martin Sweet on guitar, Peter London on bass, and Eric Young. In 2003, they released their first self-titled EP. In 2004, they signed with Universal Records and released their debut album, "Rest in Sleaze," the following year. While actively touring, Dave Lepard tragically took his own life, leading the band to temporarily halt activities. They later restarted with the support of Lepard's family and fans worldwide.
Upon resuming activities, the band released "The Untamed Revolution," featuring H. Oliver Twisted (now Olliver Twisted of Reckless Love) on vocals, and toured as the opening act for Hardcore Superstar. Subsequently, with Simon Cruz taking over, they released "Generation Wild" in 2010 and "The Savage Playground" in 2013. After Gabriel Keyes joined, they released "Rust" in 2019, bringing their album count to five. This new release marks Crashdiet's sixth album and their first in three years.
The previously released track "No Man's Land" embodies the atmosphere of 80s hard rock, resulting in a dirty yet catchier song, truly befitting a band that represents the current sleaze rock scene.
