Keiichiro Shibuya's soundtrack for the film "xxxHOLiC" (directed by Mika Ninagawa) is his latest electronic music album, contrasting with his award-winning "Midnight Swan." This album features a total of twenty-one tracks, including collaborations with sound artist evala and Buddhist musician Eizon Fujiwara. Mixed and mastered in NY and Berlin, it records the mechanical unconsciousness that traverses motifs reflecting the hyper-colored film, minimalism, noise, drone, techno, dub, and Buddhist music. The jacket also uses four unreleased photos taken by director Mika Ninagawa.

About the Artist
Keiichiro Shibuya
A musician. Graduated from the Composition Department of Tokyo University of the Arts and founded the music label ATAK in 2002. His works range widely from electronic music to piano solos, operas, film scores, and sound installations.
Notable works include the vocaloid opera without humans "THE END" (2012) and the android opera "Scary Beauty" (2018).
In 2020, he was in charge of the music for the film "Midnight Swan," winning the Mainichi Film Award for Music and the Japan Film Critics Award for Film Music. In August 2021, his opera "Super Angels" premiered worldwide at the New National Theatre, Tokyo. In March 2022, he presented the new android opera "MIRROR" at Expo Dubai, a collaboration between androids, Buddhist music/shomyo, and a local UAE orchestra. Through his works, he questions the boundaries between humans and technology, life and death.
