Cable Wrap Red x White
The year was 1955, around the time PANHEADs transitioned from FL to FLH, and a new cable wrap was added to Harley's optional parts.
The new product from 1955 differed from the fluffy types of the Knucklehead era, featuring a flat shape with a white center.
Cable coils (cable wraps) are a very easy and recommended item for dressing up drum cables, spark plug wires, etc. on vintage Harley-Davidsons and custom vehicles, but genuine Harley cable wraps from that era are already depleted.
Even if they appear on eBay, they are extremely expensive, over $200, and are items that are virtually impossible to find today.
While chrome-plated types are still available as replicas from VTWIN,
other two-tone color types that were originally sold by the manufacturer,
with white in the center, were virtually unobtainable.
I had long dreamed of being able to reproduce Harley-Davidson's optional cable wraps,
but through a contact, I was finally able to find a manufacturer and bring it to production.
First, I obtained a reproduction of the optional parts list from that era to accurately identify the part numbers and color combinations.
For the actual production, I obtained scraps of the original black/white from that time to determine the ratio of black to white.
The dimensions have been slightly enlarged to be more compatible with modern cables.

The overall width and white ratio are very close to the genuine product, resulting in an excellent finish.
In addition to old drum cables, clutch cables, and spark plug wires,
they can also be used on modern vehicles for brake lines and spark plug wires, adding a retro feel by simply wrapping them.
I am happy to have been able to reproduce an item that was my long-time dream, and I hope that vintage Harley enthusiasts,
as well as those who enjoy current Harley-Davidsons, will be able to enjoy it widely.
