【Arabia（アラビア）】
アラビア社は1873年、スウェーデンのロールストランド社がフィンランドのヘルシンキ郊外に設立した製陶所です。
1900年の初め頃までは、主にロシア向けのテーブルウェアを販売していました。その後、独自の技術やデザインを研究し、フィンランドがロシアより独立する1年前の1916年にロールストランド社からの独立を果たし、フィンランドの国民的製陶所として歩み始めました。
それ以来、優れたデザイン性や芸術性を保ちながらも、使い勝手に配慮した実用的な食器を発表し続けています。シンプルなものから華やかなもの、ムーミンのキャラクターをデザインしたものまで、オリジナリティー豊かな食器を幅広く揃えているところがアラビアの特徴です。
【スンヌンタイ】
パラティッシシリーズのデザイナー、ビルカー・カイピアイネンの作品の一つである「スンヌンタイ」シリーズ。1971年から数年間のみ生産されていた大変人気で貴重なシリーズで、パラティッシ誕生50周年を記念し、このたびついに復刻されました。
「スンヌイタイ」はフィンランド語で「日曜日」の意味。レトロなイエローのお花を大胆にあしらったデザイ
