千利休の愛した器を模した抹茶椀です。当社のある地区は岡山城の城下町で千家十職の家元の方々の本拠地がたくさんあります。その中で当社の経営するワインバーの顧客である裏千家の団体の理事長からお弟子さんの家の整理を頼まれているとの事で備前焼を目当てに家に伺った際に目についた抹茶椀です。戦争で家が焼けて付属品などは無いそうですが裏千家の理事長曰く「先々代の当主より前から使っているかなりいい物だと思う」との事でお譲りいただいた骨董品です。元々は中国の磁器を使ってお茶を飲んでいたのが千利休が専用の椀を作らせたのが発祥で京都の樂家によって作られた抹茶を飲むための茶碗です。基本的に赤色の茶碗と黒色の茶碗が基本になります。その本物の樂椀は博物館所蔵のレベルで値段も付かないくらい高い価値を持ち全国でそれを模した焼き物が造られました。その中の一つがこの抹茶椀です。ろくろを使わず手捻りで形を作り、高熱で焼き上げる手法はまさに樂椀と同じです。粗野で無骨でありながら温かみがあり、抹茶の緑色が映えるように茶色か黒にした味わい深い一品です。備前焼の専門家である私も目を奪われた日本の古来の美をお手元にどうぞ。W:12,5cmH:8cm
