1. Put in the sand
Insert the funnel into the "sand inlet/water injection port" shown in Figure 1, slowly pour in the sand, fill as much as possible, and avoid leaving too many gaps.

Hint: When pouring in the sand, rotate the main body so that the "sand inlet/water injection port" is facing upward.


2. Water injection
The tip of the new water injection bottle is sealed at the time of shipment.
Cut off the small tip, fill the water injection bottle with water, then close the lid.
Insert the water injection bottle's nozzle into the "sand inlet/water injection port" shown in the photo.
Pour water slowly.


Caution: After filling with water, it takes about 10 minutes to position the product correctly (see Figure 2).
The water injection speed should be as slow as possible to allow the water to permeate slowly.
To prevent ants from drowning, water may leak; it is normal for water to leak from the bottom of the product.

Caution: Use pure water or boiling water, and add about 50ml of water during the first use.
(One bottle is about 50ml)

3. Add ants
There are two methods to introduce ants; choose the method that suits you.


Method 1: Open one end of the pipe container with ants, place the container into the feeding area, allow the ants to come out slowly, and wait patiently for about 1 day.
This method is suitable for beginners.


Method 2: Open one end of the pipe container with ants, target the feeding area, and shake the pipe container to coax the ants out.
This method is suitable for experienced veterans.


4. Remove the partition board
By pulling out the "partition board" in Figure 2, the ants will adapt for 2 to 6 days, then start digging from here.

1. Food supply
Food can be placed directly in the feeding area or first put into a small "food container" and then placed in the feeding area.
Preferences for food vary depending on the ant species.
Generally, ants prefer juicy and sweet food.
Mainly use sweet fruits (pear, apple, banana, etc.) as the main food, and use other omnivorous foods as supplementary food.
They can eat some small insects (mealworms, cockroaches, etc.).
Food for ants is also sold, making it recommended for beginners.


Caution: It is recommended to kill live prey before feeding.
Living insects may harm the ants.
Feeding 2 to 3 times a week is recommended.
The amount per feeding should be the size of a peanut, and it must be fed to the ants on the day of introduction.


2. Water supply
Using a water dispenser is recommended for watering.
The water dispenser can be used for about one week per use.
Refer to the diagram below for how to use the water dispenser.

3. Humidification
The guideline for watering sandy soil is once every 6 days (adjust the water supply cycle according to the surrounding humidity), and the amount of water per supply is about 10ml.
Use the included water injection bottle and pour in from the "refill port" in the right photo.
Hint: The water injection bottle is about 50ml.


4. Cleanup
A. Cleaning the feeding area
If there are leftover food or many ants have piled up sand, open the "feeding area trash cleaning hole" in the right photo to clean, and sweep out sand and trash to the "trash storage" at the lower layer.
Caution: Do not clean too thoroughly.

B. Remove trash

Open the "trash disposal hole" to remove trash and sand.
Caution: If the sand is still moist, it will not come out, so wait until it dries.
The trash storage has enough space, so do not clean too frequently or make it too clean.


Caution: Sunbathing is prohibited. Do not place the product in environments with strong odors, large vibrations, or loud noises, and ensure the ants can settle comfortably.
