「どうぶつの森amiiboフェスティバル」は、プレイヤー自身がamiiboのどうぶつとなって、四季や季節のイベントなど、「どうぶつの森」の村の1年の暮らしを疑似体験できるすごろくパーティゲームです。
今までの「どうぶつの森」とは違った形でどうぶつたちとの触れ合いを楽しめます。
●村いちばんのハッピーパーソンを目指せ！『どうぶつの森すごろく』
「どうぶつの森すごろく」では、カレンダーの日付に沿ってターンが進み、選んだ月によって起こるイベントや景色も変化します。「ハッピー」を最も多く集めた人が勝利♪
●オリジナルのすごろくの村を作ろう！『村づくりモード』
すごろくの村を自分好みにカスタマイズできます。建てた施設にちなんだエピソードが発生したり、ルートが変化したりします。
●「どうぶつの森ハッピーホームデザイナー」と連動
ニンテンドー3DSソフト「どうぶつの森ハッピーホームデザイナー」で家を建てたどうぶつの森amiiboカードを使うと、それと同じ外観の家をすごろくの村に建てることができます。
●amiiboカードでミニゲーム
amiiboカードを使って遊ぶ、それぞれまったく系統の違うミニゲームが全8種類あります。
ゲームを遊んで貯めたハッピーポイントによって、ミニゲームが増えていきます。
