Alce Nero was founded in central Italy in 1978. We are pioneers of organic farming, having been among the first to adopt and practice cultivation methods that rely solely on the power of people and nature, without the use of chemical fertilizers.
Alce Nero is strongly connected with farmers and agricultural cooperatives scattered throughout Italy. Leveraging this network, we produce pasta, tomato sauces, olive oils, vinegars, and more, using ingredients cultivated with care in lands suited to each specific crop. Our mission is to create food that is harmless to both people and nature, and to leave a rich, green environment with clean water for future generations. Guided by this philosophy, Alce Nero began with pasta production using diverse wheat varieties.
