The CIA special operations chief, Archangel, who is responsible for Airwolf's development, requests the skilled pilot, Stringfellow Hawk, a Vietnam veteran, to retrieve Airwolf.
Hawk successfully steals Airwolf with his friend Dominique, and together they face various incidents around the world!!
It was broadcast in Japan from October 1986 to April 1987, achieving a high average viewer rating of about 15% (according to an article in the film magazine "Monthly Screen" at the time). From April 8, 1987, it was upgraded and broadcast on the nationwide NTV network in the Wednesday 9:00 PM time slot.
It was one of the most popular overseas dramas alongside "Knight Rider"!
