Celebrating the 95th anniversary of Tommy & Tuppence!
The classic TV series based on popular Agatha Christie works has been re-packaged in the world's first HD quality Blu-ray box set!
This drama series depicts the adventures of Tommy and Tuppence, characters beloved by Agatha Christie, the "Queen of Mystery," famous for series such as "Hercule Poirot" and "Miss Marple."
Tommy and Tuppence, childhood friends, coincidentally reunite after World War I and get married. They later establish a detective agency. As the name suggests, their "inseparable" partnership is heartwarming, with the cautious Tommy and the cheerful, curious Tuppence vividly portrayed.
Although both are amateurs in detective work, they have read numerous detective novels and, when incidents occur, they emulate the techniques of famous detectives from those stories, solving cases with clever deductions.
The role of Tommy is played by James Warwick, who appeared in the drama "Why Didn't They Ask Evans."
Tuppence is portrayed by Francesca Annis, who played Lady Jessica, the mother of the protagonist, in David Lynch's film "Dune."
Guest appearances include the highly satisfying "Miss Marple" Joan Hickson, a favorite among Agatha Christie fans, and the distinguished actor Sir John Gielgud, among others.
