The origin of "Ace" dates back to 1940 when founder Yanagisawa Shinsaku opened a bag shop called "Shinkawayu Shoten" in Tennoji, Osaka. In 1953, Shinkawayu developed Japan’s first bag using the new material "Toray Nylon." The bags were colorful, lightweight, strong, and easy to clean, gaining popularity and being called a "bag revolution."
