What is the content of the sutras?
It is recommended for those who want to try reading the sutras but feel they are difficult.
The original text of the sutras is provided together with modern language translations and brief explanations, allowing even beginners to understand the content.
All sutras (including verses) and passages recorded in the daily liturgical scriptures of the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha, as well as related texts, are translated into modern language with simple explanations.
This makes the book useful as a guide or for study groups.
It also includes the 'Buddha-Recited Amitabha Sutra' from the Three Pure Land Sutras, which are the foundation of Jodo Shinshu.
Additionally, it features 'Shoshin Nenbutsu Ge' (six variations of the six-line praise hymn), 'Sanbutsu Ge,' 'Jushii Ge,' and 'Twelve Rites.'
