This is Narazuke, a traditional Japanese fermented food originating from Nara Prefecture.It is a specialty product of Nara Prefecture, made by carefully pickling and fermenting melons in sake lees to bring out their umami.We also recommend pairing it with cheese and crackers.
How to eat:Take out only the amount you wish to eat, remove the sake lees with kitchen paper or similar, slice, and enjoy.If you let it sit for about a day after slicing, the alcohol will become milder. Please try it to your liking.The removed sake lees can also be used to remake dishes with vegetables, eggs, meat, or fish! Enjoy your original cuisine!
