疋田善平(ひきたよしひら)医師について
国立京都病院(現在の京都医療センター)の元内科医長。1972年、50歳を機に退職。
予防医学をやりたいと、当時の高知県佐賀町にやってきた。
「寝たきりゼロの思想」から生まれた「満足死」、そして病院と診療所の機能を分けた
「広域総合病院構想」は「国保料下げ」に多大な貢献をした。
これらの業績が評価されて、保健文化賞や、保健医療に贈られる若月賞を受賞。
