It has excellent cold and heat resistance from -100 to 260°C. It is resistant to most chemicals (excluding molten alkali metals), solvents, and steam. Unlike traditional hemp string or liquid compounds, it does not stain your hands and allows for quick and easy work. It can be used on metal pipes such as iron, aluminum, stainless steel, and copper, as well as plastic pipes such as PVC. Complies with the Food Sanitation Act.
