Tamiya Mechanical Swimmer (Crawl/Butterfly/Backstroke) 71126 (Robo-Craft Series No. 26)
This is a construction set for a swimmer robot that swims using an underwater gearbox. The rotational motion of the underwater gearbox is converted into reciprocating motion by a crank arm, moving the legs up and down to swim. Furthermore, the rotational motion is directly transmitted by a rubber band to rotate the arms. By changing the positions of the arms and legs, and the up-and-down movement of the head, you can enjoy three different swimming styles. The doll's torso also contains a styrofoam float. The legs are made of 0.3mm thick soft resin, and their moderate flexibility generates forward propulsion. Assembly is easy with screws and snap-fit parts.
