This is a timer with a discharge recording type that minimizes contact friction. By reducing the contact friction of the tape, measurement errors are prevented as much as possible. The discharge recording can be switched between three levels: 10/50/100Hz. The included support rod makes it easy to fix to an iron stand or other equipment. The special shaped electrode allows for not only small dots but also line-shaped discharge recordings of a readable length. This is convenient for measuring lengths by using a ruler.
[Troubleshooting: If dots are no longer produced during discharge]
If the discharge electrode accumulates recording tape residue over long periods of use, the dots may become unclear. In such cases, insert strips of the included 250-600 grit sandpaper, cut to the same width as the recording tape (1.5cm). This will polish the electrode tip and restore its function.
