This series features a 6mm diameter shaft and is a dual-gang variable resistor.
Please check the specifications (numerical values) as the shaft length may differ even if the product image is the same.
Variable resistors have different relationships between the rotation angle of the shaft and the change in resistance. Typically, A-curve and B-curve are used, and C-curve is rarely used.
* **A-curve:** Exponential change, ideal for audio volume control.
* **B-curve:** Linear change, used for voltage adjustment in general equipment.
* **C-curve:** The reverse rotation direction of the A-curve, used for amplifier gain adjustment, etc.
A-characteristic changes resistance value exponentially with respect to the rotation angle, while B-characteristic changes linearly. A-characteristic is typically used for volume control. While B-characteristic can be used electrically, the sound will suddenly increase at a certain position when the knob is turned.
There are other classifications for the relationship between rotation angle and resistance change, such as C-characteristic, but A and B are the most common.
