Compact-sized lantern that does not take up space
Spirit offering light with a rotating tube is a mini-sized spirit offering light with a rotating tube. Although it is a set of two (2 pieces), it is compact enough to be quietly displayed on a Buddhist altar shelf or beside a Buddhist altar.
The fire chamber features bright-colored flowers drawn in a lively style, giving a cute impression like a bonbori, but the top is decorated with a gold chrysanthemum pattern, making it a lantern with presence.
It can be used as a gift for oneself or for someone welcoming Obon.
A spiritual offering light, as the name suggests, is intended to be displayed in front of the spirit, and can also be used as a post-funeral decoration.
It can be used for a long time during funerals and Obon, making it economical.
Easy to turn on with a plug-in system
It uses a light bulb and is plug-in type. There is no switch, so it can be used immediately after plugging in.
It is also a simple lantern that can be assembled without tools. Please watch the video for assembly instructions.
Lights as a "guidepost" for loved ones
When set with the rotating tube and lit, it creates a more festive atmosphere for Obon.
Obon is an important event where loved ones return home once a year.
Please light the lights with the wish, "Please come back without hesitation."
Product size
Size is compact at 13×35 cm.
It is a lantern designed to be displayed on a stand, such as on top of a Buddhist altar shelf or a chest, and can be easily placed anywhere.
During periods when not in use
It can be stored in a box when not in use.
The outer box size is also compact at 24×11.5×29 cm, making storage space-efficient.
Are you ready for Obon?
Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. It begins with the "welcoming fire" to receive the spirits and ends with the "sending fire" to send them off.
In your home, you can set up lanterns as welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is the once-a-year occasion when ancestors return, do your best to offer a warm welcome within your means.
In the past,White lanterns for the New Obonwere prepared by the family of the deceased, and otherObon lanterns with designs (used annually)were generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances, but due to recent changes in living environments, the placement and space for display have shifted from Buddhist rooms to living rooms and other areas, influencing the way families handle these items, with the family of the deceasedpreparing all lanterns and Obon supplies, while relatives and acquaintances tend to prepare offerings (cash, incense, etc.).
Furthermore, the timing for starting to display varies by household. Although it is centered around the four days from the 13th (Obon start day) to the 16th (final day), many start decorating gradually during the Obon month (July or August) to avoid rushing on the day itself.
Hasegawa also responds to various requests regarding Obon offerings.
