[Shinto Ritual Implements Set Contents, Size (cm)]
1. Sakaki stand (2 pieces) Height 13.5 x Diameter 7.2These are implements for offering sakaki. Sakaki are often replaced on the 1st and 15th of the month, but should be replaced before they wither.
2. Artificial Sakaki (2 pieces) Height approx. 35Please use these when it is difficult to offer real sakaki.
3. Heiji (2 pieces) Height 9These are implements for offering sacred sake. They are offered on the 1st and 15th of the month, as well as during New Year and festivals. Japanese sake made from rice is ideal.
4. Rice washing dish (2 pieces) Height 1.3 x Diameter 7.5These are implements for offering rice and salt. It is desirable to offer them daily, but if difficult, they should be replaced on the 1st and 15th of the month. The rice offered should not be discarded but eaten, and the salt can be scattered in the garden or at the entrance.
5. Mizutama (water vessel) (1 piece) Height 8 x Diameter 6.5This is an implement for offering water. The water should be changed every morning. The used water can be scattered at the entrance or in the garden, or given to plants.
6. Fire holder (2 pieces) Height 3.7 x Diameter 3.2These are implements for holding candles and lighting them.
7. Shinkyō (sacred mirror) (1 piece) Height 10.5 x Width 9.7 x Depth 3 (Mirror diameter approx. 6)It is a model of the "Yata no Kagami," one of the Three Sacred Treasures, and is said to be a substitute for the deity. In shrines, it is enshrined in the main sanctuary and the worship hall.
