A kyōjoku is a desk used for placing sutras and Buddhist implements when attending services. It is placed in front of the Buddhist altar and used.
This kyōjoku has a design that harmonizes with traditional Buddhist altars. It features "fudegaeshi" on both sides of the desk to prevent Buddhist implements from rolling off, and curved legs.
No assembly is required, and you can use it immediately after taking it out of the box, which is a great point.
The desk surface is spacious, allowing you to place plenty of items for your service.
It also comes with a drawer, which can be used as a small storage for items like candles and incense sticks.
This kyōjoku combines functionality with the use of "Kōtan" (ebony), a precious wood that enhances its luxurious feel.

Wiping with water or detergent may cause discoloration or peeling of the coating (urethane), so please remove dust with a duster and then clean with a dry, soft cloth.
Placing a kyōjoku-kake (a cloth placed on the kyōjoku) will enhance the dignity of your Buddhist altar. It also protects the surface of the desk from scratches, allowing you to use it with peace of mind.
The kyōjoku mokkō series also comes in other material and size variations.
