A fast tank that laid the foundation for Soviet tanks. This is a plastic model kit of the improved "BT-7" 1937 model, which strengthened its defensive capabilities with a new turret.
In the late 1930s, the fast tank BT-7 was a core part of the early Soviet tank forces, boasting high mobility, a 45mm gun with top-class firepower for its time, and advanced sloped armor on the front of the hull. The improved BT-7 1937 model enhanced its defensive capabilities. Replacing the conventional turret with vertical outer surfaces, it was equipped with a new turret designed with deflection of fire in mind. This design evolved into the later masterpiece tank, the T-34.
The kit realistically models the formidable appearance of the BT-7 1937, featuring sloped armor on the turret and front hull, and large-diameter road wheels. The sprocket wheels and tracks are reproduced in the later style. The tracks are of the link-and-length type with integrated straight sections.
Three types of markings can be chosen, including those for the Eastern Front and captured German vehicles.
