This is a 1/700 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's newest transport ship, the "Osumi." The distinctive form, featuring a large hull with high sides and a vast deck, and a bridge with a flat configuration pursuing stealth performance, is realistically reproduced. Details such as the davits on both sides housing workboats, masts, and cranes are sharply finished. The rear well deck is also realistically reproduced with its floor and bulkheads, and the large rear ramp is movable. Includes two LCAC hovercraft (two each in sailing and stored configurations) and two CH-47 large helicopters. Slide marks are provided for ship numbers, deck lines, and helicopter landing marks. Total length 254mm, beam 37mm.
