The Limited Express Kuroshio connects the Keihanshin (Kansai) area and Nanki (Wakayama) via the Tokaido Main Line, Umeta Freight Line, Osaka Loop Line, Hanwa Line, and Kisei Main Line. The trains used are the Series 283, 287, and 289.Previously, the Limited Express Super Kuroshio and Ocean Arrow operated on the same route, but they were integrated into the Limited Express Kuroshio in 2012. Currently, it operates between Kyoto, Shin-Osaka, Wakayama, Kainan, Shirahama, and Shingu. This work features a ride on the down Limited Express Kuroshio No. 22 from Shingu to Shin-Osaka, using the Series 287.Departing from Shingu, the border station between JR West Japan and JR Central Japan, the train immediately passes Oujigahama, a famous tourist spot. After running along the Kisei Main Line (Kinokuni Line), which forms a large arc along the coast of the Kii Peninsula, to Wakayama, the route switches to the Hanwa Line. The train eventually reaches Tennoji, passing through intersections with other lines and observing the bustling traffic of trains, and then enters the outer loop of the Osaka Loop Line. From Nishi-Kujo, the train enters the recently relocated Umeta Freight Line, which runs underground, and dives into the underground platform of Osaka Station. Finally, the train resurfaces and crosses the first-class river Yodo River before arriving at Shin-Osaka.
