NHK's 'Lalala♪ Classic' host, composer Minoru Kawayazawa, presents a rare solo piano work.

This work is based on the idea of a collection that covers all major and minor keys, which has historically stimulated the creativity of composers from the past to the present. In the past, many distinguished works have been created under the theme of a collection that covers all 24 major and minor keys, including Chopin's timeless pieces, as well as works by J. S. Bach, and in modern times Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and Shostakovich.
Minoru Kawayazawa's 'new' 24 preludes are a very challenging project, created on the same level as works that have withstood the test of history. He spent a long time carefully facing each key (tonality) without rushing, which led to the creation of this album.
More than half of the pieces are under 3 minutes long, featuring simple compositions that cut out unnecessary elements, with melodies tinged with melancholy and unique rhythms that do not feel like odd time signatures. The collection is diverse and highlights the魅力 of the piano, resulting in a classical and high-quality work for adults.
There are simple pieces that even beginners can enjoy without difficulty, as well as pieces that were quite challenging for the composer himself to record, providing a high level of clarity and artistic expression.
