22-202-6 KATO Kato Sound Card (Kiha 58) N Gauge Model Railroad
This sound card reproduces the common sounds of Japanese National Railways standard diesel cars equipped with the DMH17 (H) engine and liquid torque converter, not just for the Kiha 58 series. It can cover vehicles from secondary and local lines across Japan, from Hokkaido to Kyushu.
* By pressing the function button "2" during acceleration, the "gear change to direct drive" (equivalent to shifting up in a car) from the actual vehicle's geared drive to direct drive can be reproduced. Coasting is also reproduced.
* When running in geared drive, the vehicle's running speed is also suppressed, allowing for the reproduction of situations where the train struggles to climb steep gradients on local lines. This is also effective for speed suppression on small layouts with sharp curves.
* All sounds, except for function "4 - ATS", have been newly produced for diesel cars.
* The sound synchronization type card allows you to enjoy acceleration/deceleration that follows the running sound, giving you the feeling of driving a real diesel car. An emergency stop function is equipped on the eject button.
