- **Mesenteric venous sclerosis:** Repeated episodes of abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, or bloating with long-term use.

3. If symptoms such as diarrhea or constipation occur after use, and they persist or worsen, stop taking the medication and consult a healthcare professional.
4. If no improvement is seen after about one month of continuous use (or about one week if used for constipation), discontinue and consult a healthcare professional.
