This is a hanging scroll of the "Thirteen Buddhas" to be enshrined near the Buddhist altar during Obon, Higan, and memorial services.
It depicts the main thirteen Buddhas responsible for the main memorial services from the first seven days after death to the 33rd anniversary.
When displayed near the Buddhist altar or Bon shelf, it creates a solemn atmosphere and enhances the Obon feeling.
It can be displayed for all Buddhist ceremonies, and also for daily use to pray for the safety of your family and the prosperity of your household.
This piece was created by Mr. Kazuto Okuda, featuring delicate hand-painted techniques. The scroll tip has a metal fitting, which is a characteristic of authentic craftsmanship. Additionally, a paulownia wood box is included for storing the hanging scroll, making it convenient for preservation.
*Jodo Shinshu and Nichiren Buddhism do not display this. For Shingon practitioners, we recommend choosing the Shingon Thirteen Buddhas.
