A copper tea strainer from Torii Kanaami Kougei, finished one by one through hand-weaving.The beauty of the tortoise-shell pattern is a mark of its handmade quality.The bottom of the tea strainer uses a technique called "Kiku-dashi," woven in a chrysanthemum pattern.It shines brightly when new, but will change to a deep, calm copper color with use.
