Graduated from Waseda University, completed a Master's program in the Graduate School of Science at Tokyo University of Education (now University of Tsukuba), and holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Hokkaido University. Formerly employed by Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) and Soda Aromatic Co., Ltd., and served as a visiting professor at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. Currently: Visiting Professor at the Research Institute of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology; Special Researcher and Part-time Lecturer at the Academic Research Institute, Tamagawa University; Part-time Lecturer at Waseda University; Lecturer at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Open College; Lecturer at Waseda University Open College. A disciple of Shizuka Hojo in the Shimo-kakari Hosho school (Waki Hosho school) (member of Yayoi Kai), member of Waseda University Shimo-kakari Hosho Kai, member of the Research Society of Western Liquor Technology, and councilor of the Society for Chemical Regulation of Plants. Awards: Encouragement Prize of the Agricultural Chemistry Society of Japan (Agricultural Chemistry Society of Japan, 1979), Achievement Award (The Weed Science Society of Japan, 1999) (This data was published at the time of this book's release).
