On February 5, during a meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party's COVID-19 Vaccine Measures Project Team, a document was distributed containing the phrase:
"Overall, regarding the necessary quantities, we will proceed sequentially with concluding supply contracts (for the vaccines)."
Despite the Japanese government having already signed multiple supply contracts with pharmaceutical companies, why is this happening...? When asked to disclose the contents of these contracts, government officials repeatedly responded, "We cannot answer."
Our investigation revealed a startling testimony: "In fact, the contracts the government has signed with pharmaceutical companies are not sufficient to distribute vaccines to the entire population, and the supply schedule is essentially blank."
