**Behold, the ultimate "Oni" hunting experience—***Toukiden: Kiwami* is the sequel to the hit hunting action game *Toukiden*, originally released in June 2013. As with the previous title, development is handled by "ω-Force," the Koei Tecmo Games development team behind various action games such as the *Dynasty Warriors* series, delivering exhilarating and deep gameplay.
Set in a world where an endless battle against "Oni" continues, players become warriors known as Slayers (Mononofu) who possess special powers. Together with their allies, they challenge the Oni to protect the human world from destruction. In the world of *Kiwami*, the player takes on the role of a captain leading the Slayers of Utakata Village and becomes embroiled in a battle against a new threat.
In addition to the elements of the previous game, this title significantly adds new features, including charming new characters, a scenario set in Utakata Village three months after the previous game, and unique new weapon types. The exhilaration of "Targeted Destruction Action"—where players slice off and destroy parts of a massive Oni's body—has been further powered up.
Furthermore, the game continues to support multiplayer for up to four players. In addition to cross-play between the PS Vita and PSP versions and play via Ad-hoc mode, the PS Vita version allows for cooperative battles with Slayers nationwide via Infrastructure mode.
