"The Grand Family" is a novel serialized in "Shukan Shincho" for two years and seven months.
Prior to writing, Toyoko Yamazaki conducted meticulous and thorough research, so much so that she noted in the afterword, "I spent over half a year on research and basic financial studies. I wondered if it was appropriate to spend so much time on work preceding the novel."

■ Music
The main theme of "The Grand Family" was recorded in London, conducted by Takayuki Hattori and performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Takayuki Hattori, who composed and conducted, is a musician who graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris and works across a wide range of genres from pop to classical. He is also well-known for his music for numerous films and stage productions.
