■ FeaturesKōkando Kanpō Laxative primarily contains the Chinese herbal medicine "Daio Kanzo To," which is based on the traditional Chinese medicine formula "Daio Kanzo Tang." This formula is listed in the "Jin Gui Yao Lue" and has been widely used as a laxative since ancient times. The licorice (Kanzo) moderates the effects of rhubarb (Daio), regulating large intestine function. When taken before bedtime, it is expected to promote gentle bowel movements the next morning.
■ Do Not Do(If not followed, current symptoms may worsen or side effects may become more likely)
1. Do not take this product together with the following medications:- Other laxatives (laxative drugs)2. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this product, or if they do, they should refrain from breastfeeding.3. Do not take in large quantities.
■ Consult Before Use1. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are:(1) Under medical treatment.(2) Pregnant or suspect pregnancy.(3) Have allergies or a family history of allergies.(4) Have experienced allergic reactions to medications.(5) Experiencing symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting.(6) Physically weak (including those with decreased physical strength or frailty).(7) Have a weak stomach or tend to diarrhea easily.2. ■ Indications and EffectsRelief of constipation, and symptoms associated with constipation such as:- Head heaviness, feeling of heat, eczema, dermatitis, acne (pimples),- Loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, hemorrhoids.

■ Usage and DosageTake the following amount before bedtime with water or warm water without chewing.Start with the minimum dose and gradually increase or decrease based on bowel movement condition.
Adults (15 years and older):- When no bowel movement occurs for 2-3 days: 1 to 3 tablets- When no bowel movement occurs for 4 days or more: 2 to 4 tablets- Once daily
Children (5 to under 15 years):- When no bowel movement occurs for 2-3 days: Half to 1.5 tablets- When no bowel movement occurs for 4 days or more: 1 to 2 tablets- Once daily
Infants and children under 5 years:- Do not administer.- Do not give daily.
＜Precautions on Usage and Dosage＞(1) Strictly observe the prescribed usage and dosage.(2) When giving to children, do so under the supervision of a guardian.(3) During menstruation, reduce the dosage.
■ Ingredients and AmountsPer 4 tablets (daily dose):Contains 400 mg of Daio Kanzo To extract, derived from the mixed herbal medicine "Daio Kanzo Tang" (from "Kampo Medical Dictionary," Nanzando), which is 2/5 of the total.- Rhubarb (Daio): 1600 mg- Licorice (Kanzo): 400 mg
As excipients, contains cellulose, acacia, magnesium metasilicate, and magnesium stearate.
＜Precautions related to ingredients＞Urine may turn orange or red due to the rhubarb, but this is normal and not a cause for concern.
■ Storage and Handling Precautions(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, tightly sealed.(2) Keep out of reach of children.(3) Do not transfer to other containers to prevent misuse and preserve quality.(4) The packing inside the bottle is to prevent tablet damage during transport; discard after opening.(5) Record the opening date on the "Open Date" field on the box and bottle, and keep the leaflet and product together in the box.(6) After opening, consume within 6 months for quality preservation.
