Horror film master director Takashi Shimizu's third installment in the "Horror Village Series," following "Inunaki Village" and "Jukai Village," is set at a real, well-known haunted spot in the Hokuriku region, such as Tsubono Kosen, and depicts sisters who get caught up in inexplicable events and have terrifying experiences.
The protagonist is model K?ki,, who makes her acting debut in her first starring role, playing both of the high school sisters in a dual role. The cast includes young, talented actors such as Riku Hagiwara from "Innocent 15" and Fumiya Takahashi from "Kamen Rider Zero-One." The secrets and customs of the gruesome place known as "Ushikubi Village" will attack with madness and terror.
This work's music is by Takashi Matsumura, who has won the Japan Academy Prize for Outstanding Music three times for "64: Part 1," "8 Years of Engagement: A True Story," and "Those Who Were Not Passed On."
The immersive music, featuring traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto and shakuhachi, along with female chorus, will drive viewers into further terror.
