[Content Overview]On a bright summer morning, the three sisters receive news of their father’s death.Fifteen years earlier, their father left with a woman, and afterward, their mother (Shinobu Ohtake) remarried and left the house.
Their grandmother, who raised the three sisters, has long since passed away, leaving only the sisters in the large, old Kamakura house.The eldest, responsible and burdened with feelings toward her parents, is Sachiko (Ayase Haruka).The second sister, Yoshino (Nagasawa Masami), often clashes with her older sister.The third sister, Chika (Honami Kanako), is easygoing and at her own pace.
At their father’s funeral, they meet Suzu (Hirose Suzu), their half-sister.Suzu is still a middle schooler, supporting her unreliable stepmother and trying to stay strong.Seeing her tears, Sachiko invites her to live with them before parting ways.
With the arrival of autumn, Suzu comes to Kamakura, and the four begin a new life together.However, their mother, who had been out of contact during the seventh anniversary of their grandmother’s passing, appears, revealing hidden emotional wounds in the seemingly peaceful daily life of the four sisters.
