― Why now, 'Yasuharu'? ―
Her father is the first Hayashiya Sanpei, her mother is Kayo Ebina, her younger brother is Hayashiya Shozo, and her other younger brother is Hayashiya Sanpei II, growing up in a very fortunate environment in the rakugo world. Yasuharu learned classical music from a young age. She demonstrated talent as a jazz and popular singer, and also worked as a TV talent. However, after marriage and through a tumultuous life, she experienced pain and sorrow. But after visiting Iwate in 2011 following the Great East Japan Earthquake, she began to think about 'bonds between people.' She decided to encourage people with her singing voice.
This song, created through her experiences of various hardships and tears, contains the thoughts of her mother, Kayo Ebina, and her late father, the first Hayashiya Sanpei. It not only reflects her warm gaze toward her own family but also contains a strong message of encouragement to all people: 'People can recover no matter what happens!' We deliver this message.

1. The Day Cherry Blossoms Dance
A song by Yasuharu, who sings about her feelings for her mother and family, which she cannot forget even 70 years after losing her family of six in the Tokyo air raids of 1945. In modern society, where family ties are becoming weaker, this warm song questions and reminds us of the mother-daughter relationship. No matter the time or distance, a mother’s love continues forever.

2. A Flake of Snow Fluttering
Yasuharu remembers her father, the first Sanpei, who passed away at 54, and her younger brother, the second Sanpei, who lost their father at age 9. She recalls the scene of them doing marathon runs every day, which she watched and thought was nice. Was it her father’s wish to spend as much time as possible with his youngest child in his mid-40s? The scene of snow fluttering lightly is especially vivid in her memory. The unbreakable family bond is watched over by a single snowflake.

3. HAND in HAND – Let’s Hold Hands –
This song conveys the scars that will never fade, passed from the generation that experienced war to the next, and then to the next. It wishes for peace and remembrance. Kayo Ebina’s thoughts on peace are included: is it wrong to be weak? Is it okay not to try to be strong? Also, life is not always about things going well; it’s natural to experience wounds. It is a double-meaning song that supports life with human love.
Yasuharu’s singing of these three songs moved her family to tears. And they said, 'Welcome back'...
I, over eighty years old, still dream of my mother who passed away at 37, and I cry when I talk to my family about it. These are tears I can never erase in my lifetime. Surprisingly, Yasuharu, my daughter, turned this into a song. She sang a song of sadness and strength, fulfilling my wish. In my remaining years, as long as my body allows, I want to deliver prayers for peace and experiences of sorrow, along with my daughter’s voice. (From liner notes by producer Kayo Ebina)
