For example:- Colored painting (E-nie)- Typical colored painting involves filling in the outlines with solid color, but at Kakuzaburō Kiln, we apply a watercolor-like technique inspired by painting, creating a soft, faintly fragrant appearance.
- Blue and White (Sometsuke)- Usually, cobalt pigment is painted first, then glazed and fired.- At Kakuzaburō Kiln, the painting is done on top of the glaze, then fired.- This causes the melted glaze to absorb the cobalt pigment, resulting in a very soft and delicate finish.
Both techniques are highly delicate and difficult, and each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation.
