One sunny morning, the shop owner, Arui-san,
closes the shop and goes to cut that person's hair...
Directed by Taiwan's talented director Fu Tien-yu, who is also active as a writer and music video director, this film is based on a screenplay he wrote inspired by his mother.
It was shot at his family’s actual barber shop in Taichung, where he has been running the business, and took three years to complete.
Throughout the film, a gentle nostalgia is felt, while delicately depicting a journey of upheaval and the discovery of new hope.
The protagonist, Arui, is played by the renowned actor Lu Xiao-fen, who makes his first on-screen leading role in 24 years, winning the Taipei Film Award for Best Actress and the Osaka Asian Film Festival Pearl of Wisdom Award (Actor Award).
Co-starring is Fu Meng-bo, who received the Taipei Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for this film ('The Return: Words Have Disappeared').
Additionally, special appearances include Chen Bo-lin from 'Blue Summer Love' and Lin Bo-hong from 'My Ghost Family,' which are not to be missed.

【Story】
An old-fashioned barber shop stands on a street corner in Taichung.
The shop owner, Arui, has raised three children alone, all of whom are now independent.
Today, he stands alone in the shop, the sound of scissors echoing as he serves his regular customers.
A gentleman comes for a haircut to attend his son's graduation;
a man, standing by his late wife’s bedside, is told "It’s better if your hair is black," and comes for his first gray hair dye;
a high school boy, secretly wishing for a trendy hairstyle without his parents knowing—
the shop, which seems as if time has stopped, is actually quite busy with tears and laughter.
One day, Arui learns that a "teacher" who used to come from a distant town has fallen ill.
He posts a "Closed Today" sign on the shop and heads to that town for a final haircut, to see him one last time...
