Love is something everyone can talk about, but no one can speak about it correctly.
Starring Fūma Kamio! Co-starring Nanase Nishino, Yuna Taira, and Fumika Baba!
A philosophical romance film blending reality and fantasy, about a man who can see the light of love and three women who fall in love with him, engaging in a heated debate over the definition of "love."
If the feelings of being in love could be visualized, what would happen to a love story?
Based on the same-named manga by Aki ★ Eda, serialized from 2013 to 2017 in Ultra Jump (Shueisha) and compiled into a comic, this film adaptation depicts the first love of a male university student with a peculiar trait: he can see women who are in love shining brightly and sparkling.
It vividly portrays the protagonist and others contemplating the meaning of "love," making it a deeply relatable, literary-style philosophical romance film.
The protagonist, Saijō, who has this unique ability to see women in love shining and glowing, had been avoiding love.
He is played by Fūma Kamio, who has gained attention for his roles in popular works such as "3-nen A-gumi -From now on, you are all hostages-" (NTV, 2019) and "HIGH&LOW THE WORST" (2019).
The heroine, Kitashiro, who has always harbored feelings for Saijō but remains stuck in the childhood friend role, is played by Nanase Nishino, who has appeared in numerous works including "Your Turn" (NTV, 2019) and "Koro no Chi LEVEL2" (2021).
Shinonome, who, like Saijō, has no romantic experience and is exploring love, is played by Yuna Taira.
Tsuchiki, who has a bad habit of stealing other people's boyfriends but genuinely wants to love, is played by Fumika Baba.
As they consider the definition of love, their relationships gradually develop into a mysterious love quadrangle.
Attention is also drawn to the fates of each of the four as they navigate this complex situation.
The screenplay and direction are by Keiichi Kobayashi, renowned for his visually beautiful works such as "Momoiro Sora o" (2013) and "Killer and the Girl Who Doesn't Die" (2019), highly praised both domestically and internationally.
The film captures the atmosphere of the original work with scenic, emotionally rich locations.
