In a riverside area of a rural hot spring town, the mutilated body of a child was discovered.
The police suspect 15-year-old Tōma, who had repeatedly been involved in child molestation cases.

Riu Kushiki (Kushiki Riu)
Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1972. Debuted after winning the 19th Japan Horror Novel Award Readers' Prize for *Haunted Campus* in 2012, and the 25th Shōsetsu Subaru Newcomer Award for *Red and White*.
His works include the *Haunted Campus* series, *The Disease Leading to the Death Penalty*, *Uheadogawa Village Incident*, *Dog of the Prisoner*, and *Ice's Lethal Dose*.
