こちらの藍染め刺子織生地は、剣道着などに使われる、深い色合いが特徴の織物です。丈夫な生地で、パンツやバッグ、小物作りなどにオススメです。
小島屋の藍染め織物は、糸の状態から藍で染め上げ、織物に仕上げるという方法で作られています。布を染めるよりも、仕上がるまでに時間と手間がかかりますが、この方法でないと表現できない、奥深い色味を作り上げています。青縞と呼ばれる模様は、自然な色ムラが織物に現れた模様で、これが武州正藍染独特の風合いとなっています。
