Features◆ Taisho Tompuku is a fine granular medicine containing acetaminophen and ethenzamide, which have antipyretic and analgesic effects, and bromovalerylurea, which has a sedative effect. It relieves unbearable toothache and headache.
Warnings – Things Not to Do(Doing so may worsen current symptoms or increase the risk of side effects or accidents)
(1) Do not take if you are:- Someone who has had allergic reactions to this medicine or its ingredients.- Someone who has experienced asthma caused by this medicine or other antipyretic/analgesic or cold medicines.
(2) Do not take other medications such as:- Other antipyretic/analgesic drugs, cold medicines, sedatives, motion sickness remedies while taking this medicine.
(3) Do not operate vehicles or machinery after taking this medicine (drowsiness may occur).
(4) Do not consume alcohol before or after taking this medicine.
(5) Do not use for long-term continuous use.
Consultation Before Use(1) Before taking, consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller if you are:- Under medical or dental treatment.- Pregnant or suspected to be pregnant.- A infant, toddler, or child under 15 years old with chickenpox or influenza, or suspected to have these.- Elderly.- Someone who has had allergic reactions to medicines or other substances.- Diagnosed with: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, gastric or duodenal ulcers.
(2) If any of the following symptoms appear after taking, stop immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller, as these may be side effects:- [Related areas] Skin: Rash, redness, itching- Digestive system: Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite- Nervous system: Dizziness- Others: Excessive lowering of body temperature
Rarely, severe symptoms may occur. In such cases, seek medical attention immediately.
Possible severe reactions include:- Shock (Anaphylaxis): Itching, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, throat itching, difficulty breathing, palpitations, altered consciousness immediately after taking.- Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, Acute Generalized Exanthematous Pustulosis: High fever, eye redness, discharge, lip sores, sore throat, widespread skin rash/redness, small pustules on red skin, fatigue, loss of appetite, and rapid worsening.- Liver dysfunction: Fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes), dark urine, general fatigue, loss of appetite.- Kidney impairment: Fever, rash, decreased urine output, swelling, fatigue, joint pain, diarrhea.- Interstitial pneumonia: Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, cough, fever, sudden or persistent.- Asthma: Wheezing, whistling sounds, difficulty breathing.
(3) If symptoms such as drowsiness appear or worsen, stop taking the medicine and consult a healthcare professional.
(4) If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Efficacy and Effects◆ Relieves toothache, post-extraction pain, headache, sore throat, back pain, shoulder stiffness, muscle pain, joint pain, neuralgia, menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), ear pain, bruising pain, fracture pain, sprain pain, injury pain.◆ Reduces fever and chills.
Usage and DosageTake the following amount with water or lukewarm water, preferably avoiding on an empty stomach.Allow at least 6 hours between doses.
[15 years and older]- Dose: 1 packet- Frequency: Up to 2 times per day
[11–14 years]- Dose: 2/3 packet- Frequency: Up to 2 times per day
[8–10 years]- Dose: 1/2 packet- Frequency: Up to 2 times per day
[5–7 years]- Dose: 1/3 packet- Frequency: Up to 2 times per day
[3–4 years]- Dose: 1/4 packet- Frequency: Up to 2 times per day
[Under 3 years]- Do not administer.
＜Note＞(1) Strictly observe the prescribed usage and dosage.(2) When giving to children, do so under the supervision and guidance of a guardian.
Ingredients and Amounts (per 1 packet, 1.2g)- Acetaminophen: 300 mg — relieves fever, headache, toothache, menstrual pain, etc.- Ethenzamide: 350 mg — relieves pain through analgesic effect.- Bromovalerylurea: 200 mg — supports analgesic effects with sedative action.- Caffeine anhydrous: 50 mg — relieves headache.
Additives: Cellulose, Lactose, Magnesium Metasilicate Hydrate, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, L-Menthol
Storage and Handling Precautions(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.(2) Keep out of reach of children.(3) Do not transfer to other containers (may cause misuse or change in quality).(4) If saving leftover from splitting a packet, fold the bag opening and consume within 2 days.(5) Do not use products past their expiration date.
