While Brittany Guérande salt is famous as French salt, it tends to be slightly grayish due to the soil quality of the salt pans.
In contrast, Camargue salt, due to the favorable properties of the water and soil, is characterized by its beautiful white color, despite not being refined.
Camargue salt is made using sunlight from clean seawater in the "Camargue Natural Park," west of Marseille in the South of France, facing the Mediterranean Sea.
Perle de sel, which appears on the surface of the salt pan first, is considered a luxury item, and its delicate crystals enhance the flavor of dishes.
