Ringo Sheena's new original album after 5 years is finally decided!
Last year, she celebrated her 20th debut anniversary with the release of a new work, full streaming distribution of all songs, and an arena tour, making her anniversary year lively.
To conclude this, she will release a full original album for the first time in 5 years since her previous work 『Hinode-dokoro』.
It will be released on Monday, May 27, her debut anniversary!
The new title is 『Sandoku-shi』.
It refers to the three kinds of passions that harm human goodness: greed (musa-hori = pig), anger (ikari = snake), and ignorance (mimō = chicken).
These “three poisons” are woven into all 13 tracks of this album.
Includes songs like “Kemuri yuku Hosomichi” (w/ Koji Miyamoto, theme song for Nippon Television’s “news zero” since 2018),
“Me-nuki Dōri” (w/ Tortoise Matsumoto, opening theme song for GINZA SIX 2017),
“Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri” (“Coca-Cola” 2015 summer campaign song),
“Kamisama, Hotoke-sama” (au smartphone “isai vivid” CM song 2015), among others, as well as familiar songs from her previous work 『Hinode-dokoro』 released in 2014, including theme songs, CM songs, and drama theme songs, while also featuring newly created full album tracks.
『Sandoku-shi』 consists of 13 tracks, including numerous hit songs and 6 newly written songs. It is also a duet album featuring a variety of guest vocalists each shining with their unique charm.
In addition to collaborations with Koji Miyamoto, Tortoise Matsumoto, Hidetoku Mukai, and Kumo Uo, it features new guest vocals.
First, a twin vocal song “Kakeochi-mono” with Atsushi Sakurai (BUCK-TICK), who continues to challenge himself with provocative expressions even after over 30 years of career.
And a duet “Isogaba Maware” with keyboardist Masayuki Heisemi (H ZETTRIO), who was an original member of Tokyo Jihen and has participated in many of Sheena’s works since.
