It's the summer after the incident in Yasoinaba was resolved. Rise has returned to the city and resumed her idol activities. Coincidentally, a strange urban legend is spreading through the city. Through a certain event, the protagonists are taken to the world of the urban legend, "the other side." They learn that this world is called the "Midnight Stage" and that members of "Kanaminn Kitchen," a junior idol group from Rise's agency who are currently missing, are being held captive there.
"We can't just leave them like this! We have to save them!" Rise sends an SOS to her friends in the Special Investigation Team, including the protagonist of Persona 4 (Yu Narukami). Together, they will infiltrate the Midnight Stage and set out to rescue the junior idols!
