About this album
Both the piano and the harpsichord, the ancestor of the piano, were born in Italy. Italy, the advanced country of music that Mozart and Bach admired. However, surprisingly, we pianists do not play much Italian music. The Italian piano pieces from the Romantic era onward, taught to me by my friend Carlo in Rome. Enchanted by their beauty, I practiced, recorded videos on my phone, and sent them to Rome. We discovered new pieces together and discussed them over the phone. How much comfort these pieces brought to us in 2020—Carlo and me. Each story (music), accompanied by the gentle colors (harmony) of the calm Italian nature, becomes a narrative (melody) and appears around the piano like the illusion of a girl selling matches holding a small lamp. The natural state of these songs, born from such music, makes the very existence of the piano, and even the presence of the piano, forgettable. I was completely wrapped in the warm arms of music. I realized again that the naked form of music is unrelated to evolution or change, and knows no borders or eras. After graduating from Toho Gakuen Girls' High School Music Department, she was discovered by the renowned French master and esteemed professor Dominique Merle, and received tutelage at the Geneva University of Music Graduate School. Graduated unanimously as the top student, she was invited by Spain’s leading pianist Joaquin Soriano and moved her base to Spain. She has performed numerous recitals and participated in music festivals across major halls in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Japan, and China.
