However, when using these hooks for bluefish, there are many bites, but they often come off... Hooks marketed for bluefish are mainly heavy-duty, thick-shank models suitable for large fish, which are mismatched with line sizes.

So, what is the ideal hook for bluefish in slow pitch jigging?
The answer, derived from many years of experience by top angler Yasuo Nishimoto, is the small sea bream hook.
It embodies a basic shape that can be called "the aesthetics of subtraction."

**Bluefish-specific Commitment**

The hooks are entrusted to "Hariyoshi Co., Ltd." in Hyogo Prefecture, which has a long history of hand-bending small hooks and produces them consistently.
Moreover, these hooks are not just standard products from the manufacturer; they were specially developed for STUDIO OceanMark.
The design details—such as shank length, point length, point taping, and ear angle—were carefully communicated by Nishimoto tester to young hook craftsmen through fishing, resulting in a meticulously crafted fishing hook.

**Target Assumptions**

A size 20 hook was developed, imagining PE #2 line, 10kg yellowtail, and 5kg amberjack or yellowfin tuna/captain-sized fish.
The hooks are made with just enough hardness to bend without breaking.
Depending on where they hook, the thin-shank design may open up, but during development testing, even a 30kg class of yellowfin tuna, which clearly exceeds the size, was caught.

Because the hook point faces the assist line tip, it maximizes hooking performance and ensures secure hooking on the lock.
