In 2019, she won the 26th Johannes Brahms International Competition, Piano Division. Misako Mihara, a rising pianist with high expectations for her future activities, finally releases her debut album.
The tracklist features an all-Brahms program centered around Piano Sonata No. 3. Mihara's pianism, honed in Germany, showcases the rich world of Brahms, from its majestic and profound chords to its delicate, beautiful tone and lyrical expression.
This album, titled "Neue Bahnen" (German for "New Paths"), marks the beginning of Mihara's new journey, and we highly recommend paying close attention to it.
