In offshore games, you may have experienced situations where, despite surface-feeding frenzies of tuna, bonito, etc., casting a diving pencil results in them completely ignoring it. The Kaisei Dangan was born to break through this selective feeding behavior.
Traditionally, downsizing the lure is the rule, but with heavy tackle, you can't achieve sufficient casting distance, leading to the choice of switching to lighter tackle. If the feeding fish are large, this becomes a very significant risk.
With its compact form, as the name suggests, it has low air resistance and achieves exceptional casting distance, allowing it to be used with heavy tackle. The fins on the chin act as rudders, creating a beautiful S-shaped swimming action. Therefore, it does not have the wobbling sensation that traditional casting jigs experience.
The standard equipment includes #1/0 and #2/0 treble hooks, which may seem disproportionate to the body size. This is because large target fish are anticipated, and the occasional phenomenon of the hooks cutting through the water surface during retrieval creates a strong appeal to the feeding fish.
